Choose a starting point
Start on the pricing page, select a plan and choose Configure VPS. Sign in to continue. You can also open the configuration screen from Virtual servers in your dashboard.
Compare the CPU, memory, NVMe storage and monthly transfer allowance against your application's requirements. If you are unsure which resource matters most, read How to choose a Singapore VPS.
Review the configuration
Choose a billing period and review the amount due for the full term. A yearly or two-year monthly equivalent is not the amount charged every month: the full term is paid upfront.
Select one of the operating-system templates offered for your chosen plan. The options shown during configuration are the available choices for that setup. Check that your application supports the selected OS before continuing.
Give your server a hostname that you will recognise later. A name such as app.example.com can help distinguish an application server from a database or staging environment. Entering a hostname does not automatically create a DNS record for your domain.
Set up server access
Follow the access options shown for your selected operating system. If you use an SSH key, supply the public key from your device. Keep the private key on your own computer.
Save the access information you choose in a password manager. Your website account and your VPS operating-system account are separate accounts.
Complete checkout
Review the order summary before continuing to payment. An invoice is created for the order, even while it is awaiting payment. You can find it under Invoices in your dashboard.
An unpaid order is automatically cancelled after 24 hours. If you decide to order later, create a new order and check the current configuration and amount due.
Follow the build
After payment is confirmed, the order page shows provisioning progress. Wait for the VPS to become active before trying to use it. You will receive an email when the server is ready.
Open Virtual servers, choose your server and use Open Panel for its control panel. Your dashboard also provides the service's recorded status and connection details.
Before running a production workload
Apply operating-system updates, review your firewall rules and secure the accounts used to connect. Keep a recovery plan for your application and database.
Changing the operating system through a rebuild replaces the existing server installation. Back up anything you need to keep before starting a rebuild. If a build appears stuck, contact support with the server hostname and what the order page shows.
